Van is very broken, so should be along on Sunday…as long as I get some bike maintenance done on Saturday.

I’ll be there ready and waiting can do TEC if needed

That's the route that comes out on my p.c.

Not what comes out on my P.C. Should be:-
At Whitford - from Colyton Hill right onto Park Lane and 100yards on turn left onto Whitford Road. Coming to A35 at Kilmington where we turn right and 300 yards on turn left onto B3261 coming into Axminster by the railway station.

It's an unwritten rule that on our ride outs that we have to do at least some muddy nadgery back lanes to keep Phil happy

First stop will now be at The Royal Oak, Hillcommon for a (I'm guessing) 1/2 hour stop so we should now be meeting Phil on the Milverton bypass about 12.40.

Ok, all being well I'll be waiting for you somewhere between Axminster & Chard.
Just roll on by and join on the back as you pass by.

That Whitford to the A35 is atcherly a decent wee road, it even has tarmac in parts (joking)! The problem may come when you try to turn across the traffic on the A35 trunk road. Plan B might be a consideration here, i.e. turn right in Whitford and head for Musbury, then left WITH any traffic to Axminster. Whatever, I'll be in aforementioned Milverton lay-by by 12.20 hrs and will tag on there.

Could turn left onto A35 then right onto Coryton Lane and right to then turn left back on the A35 opposite where we were two minutes ago
Or, like you suggest, from Whitford go to the A358 and through Axminster - whatever way we go on the day will be fun
