Yep, been bashing the axe (oooh Matron ;;) ) for years now, also play a bit of banjo for my sins  - all acoustic I'm afraid, non of yer elecktrickery antics, I'm too old and unskilled to cross over to that sort of malarky. Was running a four-piece stringband on and off for quite a few years but Anno Domini took over 50% of them, they had to pack it in and I decided to give the public's ears a rest for a while :)): . We were called DixieGrass, the clue to what we we served up is in the name.
Haven't played out for over two years now and starting to miss it so am getting to think I might have a go at putting another band together, if I can find the right people.
Instrument-wise I have two Washburn dreadnought guitars, one of them approaching 'classical' status. I also have three banjos, two 'regular (5-string) style and one 6-stringer - a VERY loud and polarising instrument to the banjo purists, and there's plenty of them.
I can't remember where, but I've heard a sample of your playing; sounded very crisp and smooth to me and much more accomplished then my flat-pick fumblings. Keep on picking Rob, you sounded good to me.

Phil. Got to say that Motorbikes and Guitars are my passion.... Sounds to me like they might just be yours too.... You only have one life so always best to live it as much as you can, so if you feeling you want to put a band back together again i would highly suggest, doing just that. Although i know nothing about Banjos, i do recognise the name Washburn and know how much of a quality instrument you have got there..... I hope they bring you a lot of joy.

Thanks for the kind words on my playing....

Hope to get to hear you and your new band one day.
