Speedy...Your on the verge of a serious addiction my friend, think carefully about what your doing with your life i know i have been there
Once you start your hooked, first you try a little bit then some more and before you know what's hit you it's taken over your life and all you can think of is polishing and the short lived high of getting that shine
You will even dream of mops and soap, GOD, the smell of soap.
You will burn out drills for a pastime but you just wont care, you will mug old ladies just to get enough money to buy another one.
There is very little help available to kick this addiction as it's not officially recognised as a problem, there are rumours that there is a "polishers anonymous" help group but it's so underground i never found it. i had to go "cold solvol" and used aversion therapy by sitting in a room surrounded by all the "works" but not actually polishing anything, it was hell.
It took a long time to "get clean
" and everytime i see a shiny frame or wheel it brings it all back but if i start to weaken i go out on a dirt bike and get it all muddy and then sit there and look at it and force myself not to clean it and start polishing.
I now live a different life and have adopted a "shine free" lifestyle and have taken to following a little known ancient Cornish religion known as "Blackism" and have taken the name "SatinBlack"
I just take it one day at a time, better and better everyday, better and better in everyway. If it gets bad you can call me here anytime and remember if others try and push stuff on you to polish "Just say no"

I dont blame You.... I think Im a C*nt too!!!!!
some people just push it too far!!!!!!!!
some people just push it too far!!!!!!!!
I had a 1200 Bandit that I spent weeks polishing caseing, wheels, forks, yoke, swingarm etc etc.
Looked the dogs
But I you ask me if I would do it again. NO WAY IN HELL.
The polished alley needed polishing so much as it would go dull in no time.
I spent more time polishing it than riding it.
Do it if you dont plan using it much.
