i wouldnt lose any sleep over it - better to keep an eye on what the morons in cars are doing and miss a nod, than worry too much about whether the guy you've probably never met before is p1ssed that you didnt nod back at him

I nod most of the time, always to larger bikes, but agree with Sonic's original post........

i would nod, if it wasnt for a couple of things...

im only on a scoot, so i would look like a right "idiot"

im reasonably new to the roads, (well september) but i still try and concentrate on the road

nobody would nod back
but if sum1 nodded at me i would nod back!!

I nod to all expect scooters.
Mate had a loaner scooter after his bike got damaged so we were riding down this big long road doing about 45MPH (thats as fast as it would go) and there was this scooter coming the other way...doing about 45MPH. It all felt like slow motion, the other scooter guy nodded, mate turned around looked at me, turned back and nodded back to him, they looked at each other for a bit then finally rode past each other. So funny at the time.

I usually give a good nod to any bike ('cept scooters). Although I do pass one guy on my way to work every morning who has never nodded back once - miserable get! Maybe one day he'll crack! ;).
Passing long, drawn-out ride-outs is always a pain too - keep feeling that you should be nodding to this endless stream of bikers!

Knowing what it was like being on the 125 and getting a nod from someone on a bigger bike, I nod at everyone apart from scooters!!
Yeah also guilty of nodding at bikers whilst in the car and feeling a twit!
