people should concern themselves with their own riding/dress rather than worrying about others.

ride naked if you want - I dont care, everyone pays enough taxes that they shouldnt have to feel guilty about the emergency services picking up the pieces afterwards.

Sunday afternoon after a ride I needed to ditch my bike and get back to the pub, so the landlords son offers to follow me back to my place on his L plated DT125 then get rid of my bike and I pillion him back on the DT and voila we are back at the pub ready to get mullered....

So Im driving this f ucking noisy DT with L plates no gloves and just a T shirt and my normal jeans and trainers he is pillion in shorts a tshirt and flip flops, there are no rear footpegs so is feet are flailing in the wind (im amazed he managed to keep his flip flops on)

Id have loved to have got stopped by a copper :

"its ok officer this aint my bike - we are just on the way to the pub to get mullered!"

what does concern me though is flip flops as an item of footwear full stop, gayest clothing item ever.

fair point - even red label is £15 for a bottle - never mind if it was blue or black. :)

Jason, you are my hero. Hope you never have the bad luck to actually ever come off a bike at speed. Mind you, you probably have kevlar skin so it will not matter or are one of those who will 'never' have an accident?!?! ;-)

As for saying people should worry about their own riding etc rather than others. Excuse me, but I was always taught to care for others as you would yourself. I have obviously missed a trick somewhere. Price of being old I suppose. :-)
If life begins at 40, that makes me 15 years old.

06 FireBlade - that's it

it boils down to how much risk you want to expose yourself to - some people are prepared to take more risks than others....to some anyone who steps on a motorcycle is an idiot and if they could have it their way it would be made illegall to ride bikes for the protection of dumb Motorcyclists to stupid to see the risks that two wheels presents....

you pay your money you make your choice - and I say that as someone who has badly crashed with full gear on and had a minor spill in just a Tshirt....both hurt like hell, but whilst road rash is really unpleasant its not nearly as bad as multiple broken bones and internal injuries leaving you hospital bound for weeks without even the ability to wipe your own ass. As a preference Id rather not hit the deck in the first place.

I see where you are coming from but it would be deeply hypocritical for me to condemm anyone who chooses to ride without gear.

I do agree Jason that if you wish not to ride in full protective gear then thats your choice and that person will pay the consequences(spelling?) god forbid they came off.But carrying round a ruddy great bottle is just asking for trouble.plus if he had come off in front of me i would have had to pay for new tyres

so jason since you knowingly take these great risks, if you do come off and loose your skin and can't ride again, need other people to give blood so you can live ect

you wont mind if any one doesnt say oh bad luck, or dam hope your ok, i dont mean to have a go at you but your injurys could take up more beds in hospitals for longer and require blood and other medical supples which could be used on people who havn't takin such a risk and are a victim of bad luck and have worn all the gear.

all that rubbish is tring to say, please put some gear on, so you dont make the taxes go up again ;)
