cat c can go back on the road, its a cosmetic write off that would cost more to fix than the value of the vehicle so the insurance write it off. Need a vic check though. cat D can go straight back without a check. Its only cat A (which are crushed) or cat B (which are broken for spare parts only) that can't go back on the road.

go to dvla.gov.uk and look at the "vehicle enquiries" page for the telephone number

nice one chap you are a legend when you say a vic check where would i have to go for one of them to be done ?? and any idea how much it would cost
