I am no expert, but I heard that it was authorized to carry out on a highway in the event do so safely and do not break speed limits. Environmentalists hate the middle lane, and are not committed, obviously safe.

If the idiot being slow in the outside lane hasn't seen you when you're right behind them then they sure as hell won't think to check their left when they finally pull across just as you're undertaking. It's extremely dangerous and rightly illegal.

Have to agree
Try sticking an "R" on the end of "undertake" & pray you won't need their services for a long time

Re: Overtaking vs undertaking?
I've been know to undertake on a certain A road on the way to work, mainly due to lane hoggers that are trying to overtake something that's 2 miles ahead but only doing 3mph more than them. I just carry on in the 1st lane, slip past and then raise my left arm to ask why they are there in the 1st place, to which they either pull in or sit there like the retard that they are.
Yes I've thought about undertaking while sat behind cars in the fast lane, sometimes I have, other times I've sat there and waited, sometimes I've thought about it and 2 seconds later they pull over (sometimes with no signals so would of had me off if I went).
You sit there and get angry then you start to get the red mist and then accidents could happen, if they've been sat there for a long time, chances are they are staying there, chances are they are about to move over. You never know.
Main thing is, just be as safe as possible.
