You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.
Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Add my name to the list
Have I got this right......
Meeting point / rideout start location:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 8&t=h&z=15
Rideout start time: 10:00am
Route:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 5&t=h&z=13
Lunch:
http://www.innonthegreen.co.uk/
billinom8s - parts of your latest Google route map are shown in purple (rather than blue = route) and dont import to Google Earth ([C] to [E], Bude to point where outgoing route is picked up at [F] and A3124 to [M]) - I was going to have a crack at producing GPS files for anyone that has a SatNav.

cheers andy. Probs won't need the sat nav thing tho as its pretty easy to follow half a mile of bikes pottering along. I will check the google maps thing later. Sometimes it seems ok and sometimes it can be a pain on the link.

Been keeping an eye on the long range forecasts for Sunday, originally they were saying 80- 100% rain but they're now saying mild and DRY

I've not been on a SWB official rideout before........."its pretty easy to follow half a mile of bikes pottering along" - does this mean it's a kinda processional thing, just following the bike in front rather than riding to your own pace (possibly unable to 'make progress'billinom8s wrote:cheers andy. Re: Friendly Ride - Sunday FEB 22nd
The summer ride out is split into groups but the friendly ones are all at posted speeds. Which means it's for all bikes from about 125 up and for the likes of me, I am quite happy taking my son as pillion.
This buys me time off for the non friendly ones ( especially early start summer ones ) which are for faster riders and me
which is a case of out, play and finish before the traffic wakes up

Re: Friendly Ride - Sunday FEB 22nd
Andy this is a social day out for riders of all abilities, a chance to put faces to names etc, it's not everyones cup of tea to ride sensibly within the speed limits for one day...AndyW wrote:

Large group rideouts I've taken part in have always been broken down into smaller groups of around 10 bikes or so setting off 5 minutes or so apart allowing for riders of similar experience....
Checkout SOUTH WEST BIKERS ANNUAL SUMMER RIDE OUT SUN 10TH MAY 2009
http://southwestbikers.com/viewtopic.ph ... &sk=t&sd=a That may be more along the lines of what you're used to. Also keep an eye out for the 'Early Rides' they tend to be a slightly brisker pace
