Awsome day, once we got going... didn't rain & no serious injuries, just a few scary moments.

Defo want to do that again. Thanks to all who organised it & for those that didn't attend well worth it... 8)

Well, what a day 8) After a rather "stressfull" week .......

Good company friday night  A good nights sleep  and the morning dawned dry at least :D

The first surprise for me (or amazement really ....) was coming out of the Novice briefing to find Layne & Deej had somehow got my bike through the noise testing at 104db  Even better surprise to find the rather dubious trial-and-error db killers made at midnight on Thursday didn't seem to dent performance at all  Especially when compared to the beautifully crafted and carefully tested items Mr Smiler made for his Mille  (Did their figures match your tests Tony :? )

The morning saw Inters complete less mileage all morning than one complete session would have  and that was after a briefing laden with terms like "no uneccessarily agressive riding" and "start slow and build, rather than stop fast" ....... Ironically, Novice was the only group that ran full sessions all day without a single incident :D

All one can say is thank goodness no-one was seriously injured and will live to tell a good story ....... though there might be a need for the "Funky" button again, I fear

More to come, but once again good company and for the most part decent riding made a great day at a great little circuit into an awesome trip 8) The SWB camerarderie came through to get a certain person back on track after his first session/first lap spill (following the trend started by Scotty & Hazard9  ) only for the ingrate to throw it away again .......

Thanks very much to Alan and all the team at Phil Bevan Trackdays and Pembrey Circuit for a great event and for putting up with us after what must have been a pretty stressful time the day before - I bet this won't be a weekend forgotten in a hurry  8) 8)

Morning:
Advanced out first, no problems. Inters next, Funky complete's two "no overtaking" laps then bins it at the first corner of the first open lap. Session red flagged/over

2nd inters session, Gav's bike decides it really isn't up for another day of track abuse so spits him off at the corner leading onto the start/finish straight. Session red flagged/over

3rd inters lession, there's a "moment" which causes Funky and another bike to meet and both head off into the grass. Session red flagged/over

Afternoon:
2nd advanced session Julian decides to convert to lawn mowing coming onto the start/finish straight on the last lap of the session

Final advanced session the TL of one of the Honiton boys' decides to create a "James Bond" style anti-passing smoke-screen by wearing a hole in it's front cam-cover, which backfired by dumping it's rider on his ear at the hairpin at the end of the straight on what was just about the last lap......

There was also an incident which saw Colin have to take avoiding action and go mowing ...... and whilst his bottom ate his knickers at the thought of how he was going to explain smashing a week old £15k bike to his missus, he managed to stay upright and find his way back to the tarmac

I think thats about it :?
