Obviously you are now getting lapse at simple reading of usernames. Unfortunately I cant read billinom8s mind so I have no idea! In the context it was written it was about length of time riding, not about riding fast on the road
No stats? No? No suprise

Well if I'm so definitely wrong, it should be easy to prove me so, should it not

I've not said you are wrong. You say its a fact, I say wheres the evidence to back it up?

I don't need evidence because I know I am right.
The fact that you cannot prove otherwise just confirms this
Of course you could prove me wrong, but we both know you can't

not sure whats this is all about but i do know there is a lot more bikes on the roads now and if one crashes you hear a lot more about it now, as long as i can remeber bikes have been crash a lot this time of year so whats new ? its not just word of mouth that tells us now think thats new, as for the rest i always ride slower in a group and i think most do, if i want to thrush it you will find me on my own early in the morning,
and yes i know bikers that have had bikes 10year longer then me that are far from safe
and i know bikers that have had bike 10 less years then me that i think now he knows what he doing

I know I am right and do not feel I need to prove anything.
What is interesting is that for someone so obsessed with proof, you cannot actually prove I am wrong
As I said.
Feel free to prove me wrong if you are so convinced of it.
Look forward to that

As I said, yes there are plenty of old hands who are bad riders but generally, more experienced riders are safer.
If you have any doubts, ask your insurers why your insurance gets cheaper the longer you have been riding.

yep your right experience is the best thing you can have but that come with what have exerienced not with age and some people exerience in year what it takes others 5 years to exerience and you got to remeber wording in training these days is different first time some said lifesaver did not have a clue what he was on about tell it clicked oh "look over me should "
and as for insurance thats cheap now because am old not because i do over 1200 miles a week getting exerience on the roads
my dads insurance is even cheaper because like him his age group are not on the road much to crash he dont even need to drive to work any more but gov dont think hes that safe because hes coming up for retesting now!
what am trying to say its not all black and white

It's a sad thing to have to face up to, but if the trade guide to used bikes (Glass's), is to be believed, and the average high end bike rider covers as little as 3000 miles a year, then it takes that rider 4 years to accumulate the same amount of on road experience has his/her car driving counterpart.
I do a lot less mileage now than I used to, but I'm told by a dealer that my 10,000-15,000 miles a year is 4-5 times the average
That's why I can't buy new bikes, because I'd lose too much in depreciation bearing in mind that after two years it'll have covered at least 20,000 miles.
I know because I did it once, back in 1998, I bought a new Honda Blackbird, and despite lavishing it with care, the fact that it was gleaming and in better condition than bikes with a fraction of the mileage I'd done, because I'd done nearly 30,000 miles in just over two years made it near worthless to them

The last bike I couriered on in London was a Honda 600 Revere.
I bought it with 20,000 miles, (second time around the clock), and eventually scrapped it after doing another 80,000 miles.
I have a friend up there who is couriering on a 1999 Fireblade he's had from new, which is running like a dream with nearly 150,000 miles last time I spoke to him, and his only issue is keeping it in tyres - the thing is still on it's original cam chain
For me, a bike is something to be used as often as is practically possible.
I can't stand this park and pose culture
