A crash helmet

Ok I know bad joke

I now have a Shark S800 Hurricane Union Jack after my last AGV hit the deck at 15 mph ahnd hit so hard it left a mark on my head and a cut and bruise near my eye I went to the bike show and tried on lots of lids to find one that was comfortable. I couldn't get my head into arai ones and the shoei ones weren't as confortable so it really comes down to what lid feels right rather than what name is on the front .

Currently Arai Chaser (with yellow visor) and an Arai Viper GT (with black visor). Had an Arai RX7RR before which held up well in an 80mph off. Wouldn't have an RX7RR again as it was too noisey.

Really liking the new AGV Barry Sheene replica. Shame I've never really got on with AGV's

erm, currently a Shoei xr1000 - very comfy for me! Tho I wouldn't ever wear it without plugs

blokie has Arai, which are the only ones that he finds comfy - is there such thing as having an Arai shaped head????

Comfy, quiet, and 4 stars, simple visor change. Ideal

I have an Arai RX7 Corsair in black with a black visor, and an Arai Astro R Van Den Bosch rep, neither are particularly quiet, but both are comfy, light and well vented. Most importantly they fit me very well and I'm very happy with them.

yeah i would say there is, the arai's fit me spot on. mines 3 years old and still fits perfectly now where as the shoei xr1000 was too loose within a 1000miles so went on ebay, theres a definite difference between arais and shoeis

Arai, phil read replica and love it. I tried on a shoei once but i didn't feel comfortable with how exposed my chin felt.

Arai all the way... got a Nakano RX7 for the road, Astro (I think) for the track. It all depends on the shape of your head I guess, some swear by Arai, others by Shoei. I can't put a Shoei on, too uncomfortable for me, likewise some Shoei owners can't wear an Arai.
In my second racing season I went through two Arais in successive meetings and it was getting pricey so I thought about looking elsewhere to try and reduce the costs, tried just about everything on, but in the end there was only one that I could both wear and trust implicitly so I dug deep and bought another Arai that lasted for years until I trashed it at Llandow two years ago.

RX7 Edwards rep in white and an AGV St George Stealth, use the RX7 in the winter and the AGV in the summer...
