There is only one problem thou for me and that is the patches I am using, I was told that one of the side effects was nightmares and I of course being me shrugged it off. Well last night was a nightmare, couldnt sleep and when I did I kept waking up having bad dreams.

Touch wood the dreams stop and I continue........
well done mate :D tomorrow will be a week for me.
if you havent got the inhaler you wanna get one i think its works well with a patch its more like smoking.ive been stood at a welders for about 4hours today doing nothing, and normally would ave smoked 10 fags but just puffing on the inhaler was fine.
keep it up buddy :D
Yep got one gaz, hard to work out when its empty thou

Well its also now 24 hours or 1 whole day without fags for me and the way I look at it is, That is ni-on £12 saved. In a week, its £84 saved, and in a month its ni-on £400 saved (as Sarah has given up as well) and thats not far from the cost of my mortgage, so in theory, if I can keep it up, I am mortage free.

I really hate it when people quit. Its just too tempting to try me hardest to make them smoke again and then laugh at their lack of willpower if they do  . I will try to bite me lip Thursday Gaz

I gave up 5 1/2 years ago, when my first child was born. I'd been a smoker since 16 and was 34 at the time, but during my wifes pregnancy I could only smoke out of the house, so evenings in became easier then when my son, Connor, was born I stopped for the two weeks of paternaty leave. Pressure at work meant I gave in and smoked at work again but after one week of my wife telling me not to wear smoky clothes at home I got fed up with the whjole thing and decided I either stop all together or give in and smoke forever. Didn't fancy option 2 so stopped! Got bad cravings but just drank coffee( lots) and did the cold turkey thing. Definately worth it though I agree with the weight gain problems, my 32 waist has never come back! Now where's those diet shakes..... !

Keep at it guys :D :D !
Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!

well done mate, the nicotine will be out your system now, so now it's only your own habit that would make you want one and nothing biological. Have you done the drink test yet?
