Where have I said that? What I'm trying to get at is the true cost of the weekend. On the one hand there's comments of £80-odd pounds a day for 3 days non a motogp circuit, to others giving costs of £1000-1400 which is more like £350-500 a day. Still competitive against the true cost of many UK track days, especially in given the location/facilities

But, in my opinion, it isn't fair for people to commit on the basis of it costing a few hundred quid, only to find when it comes to it that real costs are more like double, which is why I keep trying to wheedle out what people actually spent ......

no deej i wasn't riding hard or doing many sessions. also my bike isn't set up to run at 16000 rpm. i'm sure some of the heavier handed riders used more but i used what i needed to.

i dont ride hard anymore either mate, i think it evaporates in the spanish sun

i usually allow about £1200 all in for the cost of a European trip but we do stay for a week rather than just the 4 days on track

This can be as cheap of expensive as u make it. Track costs and hotel set. Haulage set also

So this is easy to budget for

Extras like food and drink. I eat well but don't drink so wasn't expensive for me

Fuel costs. If you are not heavy handed on the gas then won't be too bad

Extras like car hire and fuel, tyre and the like can be done on a budget. I had 3 new slicks and wam heavy handed so my cost was more than most who went from SWB probably

Bottom line is do you want a good trip abroad, good weather and company for a reasonable price or do you wanna pussy foot talking about it? :-o

I'm in by the way lol

Ive been asked how i got to £1200 for the trip to spain we always do so I'll break it down for you and probably find out its more lol

Almeria Trip - £450
3 nights extra - £135
Hire Car & Fuel - £75
Trackday Insurance - £60
Fuel to deliver bike to sussex and then collect it - £250
Fuel in bike - £120
Fuel to airport - £40
Trackday photos - £50
lunch - £70
evening meals and drinks - £140
tyres (new set) - £300
flights £250

however i do make it a holiday and have it as my only break all year so its money well spent hence why i've done it 5 years in a row and will be doing it again next september

We use focused as well rather than No Limits so drop off is in Sussex not swindon and thats quite a trek from cornwall.

if you book the flights early enough you'll get them cheaper, if you share hire car with 3 or 4 of you it helps as does having someone share the fuel costs of dropping the bikes off etc

they haven't released these dates on the site yet so we are lucky in that respect and I haven't got a price from them either. I do keep asking but don't want to push my luck.

will try again soon though.

Good value if you have the open pit rule....

3-5 bikes on track at a time, looks of space and 1-to-1 tuition.....

http://www.focusedevents.com/bike-how-it-works.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Virtually the same price.
Does anyone do the open pitlane anymore ? focused havent used at Almeria since 2010 instead they use the laptimers and run their chrono events which work really well.
I meant Open Pit so people can come and go as they please, no groups and not many bikes hence the price is more.

I was on about the Chrono events more to be specific.
I love Lamp.

ok, i heard back from No Limits today.

If we have a minimum of 15 riders we can get a discounted price down to £459. That's including 3 days on track, bike transport from uk to track and back again and 3 nights B&B in Portimao, (this year it was hotel Jupiter in Portimao)

over to you, I'll let you know when booking opens.
