Jon, I booked over the phone and had my confirmation email the same day, didn't particularly like the wording of the email but got it all the same
I think PB trackdays or trackdays.co.uk run a simialar timescale to the focused site when booking on the net
Col,why's dave not going

Thanks Deej, just sent them e-mail asking if there is any problems will see what that throws up...
As for advice on who to use and not any would be great.
I used Hottrax last time and you could blatantly tell that when the other groups filled up they dropped them back down to inters and novice which was a right pain as
a) Being a novice you held them up
b) Being a novice when they passed you at speed it all seemed a little close
It took 3 sessions to get comfortable with what everyone else was doing and learn which way the track went, after that was rather fun coming round the Honda curve with your knee firmly planted before lifting the back wheel braking into hairpin and again decking your knee both sides through the hairpin and following curves

Re: Pembrey trackday 2009
Jon, what group did you book yourself into on your hottrax day. I've not heard of hottrax moving people around, that's a focused trick to fill the day up. I think that sometimes it the other riders who cause the issues as some peeps who should be in fast go inters for the kick of being quickest in the group and likewise it can be the other way round. A few of us booked onto a cadwell date in the novice group just so we could get spaces, turns out we weren't the only ones and it was probably the quickest novice group I've seen, just ask layne as he was there too.
One other thing to take into account is the circuit itself, oulton park and cadwell seem to have very very quck fast groups with lots of say circuit specialists. Donington tends to have more road bikes than other circuits I've been on mainly due to its gp and wsbk status
My personal preference would be
No limits
Hottrax
Motorsportvision
And then any of the others, the problems I've found this year is that so many people hate focused and now use no limits ( for good reasons) which means you have to book really far in advance for a NL day,the other problems is the circuits seem to like focused corporate bollocks and give them the majority of the dates. Not sure if its still the case but NL don't go to silverstone due their closeness with FE. No limits aren't big enough to take on FE plus all the newcomers who use them because of their advertising keeps them in the public eye. I wouldn't have been using them next week if it wasn't for the lack of available options to me with the others and the fact its a monday so can travel up on sunday at my leisure. Will be interesting to see how the day runs !!!

Re: Pembrey trackday 2009
All very good points, I was booked into the novice group and most of the guys who seemed a bit to quick where on track bikes and ran tyre warmers.
Certainly not blaming hottrax, I think it's down to individuals being honest and seeing other people on track, also worth bearing in mind is that whilst at Combe last time I got flustered by a fast and close overtake on the way into Quary and dropped of the edge of they tyre according to the instructor following me.
So I was / am rather sensitive about what's going on around me, throw in the fact that i was taking my daughters to Mallorca the next day and you'll most likely find I was being overly aware
Feel the customer service from hottrax is great, so much so I've booked into the novice group for Cartagena in November so not digging at them at all!
Rather looking forward to next years release dates so can get some planning in, looking at Eybis, European track etc I think I'll book a couple of weeks and take in a fair few euro tracks as well as getting some more UK ones in
But going from the FE feed back and the fact they aren't answering my questions I can't see them gettting any more days from me...
