As far as I have seen it's only the A361 that has the Roadworks on.

If you get there for 08.15, I / we will get there as soon as poss. I intend to leave WsM at 07.45 which leaves time for fueling in Tivi and for some refreshments.

You could go to the end of the dual carriageway to the roundabout and double back. That's what I did tonight cos I needed fuel from Tesco

The starting point is off the m5, the ride route itself doesn't take in the m5.

You can get to Tivvy Mc'ds from the dual carriageway section of the A361 if you approach from the West. You can only get on to the A361 from Mc'ds heading towards the motorway junction. So if you're coming from the motorway go past the normal turn off and turn back at the roundabout, about 1.5 miles further on.

I am riding Down from Yeovil so I will see maybe my mate will come with me as I cannot use sat nav legally I don't think

Head to Taunton
Through taunton to Wellington
Wellington to Tiverton

No motorways, Direct route, easy.
