Dan_RR wrote: Oct 1st, '20, 20:16 Sorry I was writing my message when you must have replied Mark, will let ya know what we are doing.
Hi dan sorry for the last minute change there 3/4 reasonably tricky lanes given we have a newbie and weather conditions and I will now be leading and not exactly graham Jarvis (enduro legend) I think is a wise decision
We can do the Teignmouth one another day promise
So please remember it won’t be a race a getter ride in the wet :))
Fair enough, has your mate who led last time, was it Mat? Dropped out? Harder lanes are a good learning curve for the newbies to try them and if they don't make it then go around. I remember my first couple days laning it was pissing down and about 5 degrees in winter (January couple years back if I remember correctly) fell off and got stuck in loads of places but when you go back to them same lanes and make it up it feels pretty good.

Anyways if we had more notice then probably would have been ok but me and Sean are going to leave it sorry chaps. Have a good day, have to catch up another time. Good luck all :-bd

I’m not adverse to going round stuff if once you’ve sussed my ability you suggest it’s the right thing to do. Not too proud. Looking to learn much and learn quick.

So, at risk of making this outing look like the hokie-kokie feel free to switch back to Teignmouth, just means I will leave 45mins earlier. Trailering the bling mobile anyway so not like have to drone along the A30 For an hour.

Appreciate everyone’s efforts either way chaps.

Steve

Nah don't worry f0zzy I am no expert either, I am a very average dirt rider at best so can still get stuck on things myself but half the time you can just roll back down, get your breath back then have another go. If it's closer for a lot of you guys then it makes more sense to be Honiton. Me, Si and Sean don't have a way of getting all 3 bikes there is the main dilemma so easier for me and Sean to give it a miss rather than leave one of us behind.... Si will come up in his van and is eager to get out. Probably be easier with a smaller group if people do get stuck or have problems.

You guys have a good one, Mark and Mat did a good job last time we went out so sure you will have a good day.

Cheers

Sorry to anyone If this change has caused problems but you can always organise your own rides 😀 I made to call for several reasons
Matt has personal stuff to sort out which means we don’t have a leader and a tec so one of us can help pick up the pieces and any stragglers and no one gets lost
The weather is going to be real bad
The route has some difficult lanes the weather will make them worse
We have a newbie
I did the Teignmouth route on my very first muddy ride and it nearly killed me and put me off green Lansing for ever
I will rearrange the Teignmouth run hopefully this month
Mark
