Jynxed yourself, anyway better the engine seize than realise that the petrol smell you had been smelling for weeks and having poor miles per gallon is because the sealing ring on the fuel pump has given up and is spraying fuel all over hacked up wiring loom (had an imobiliser fitted that was hardwired in) and onto the hot regulator. Lucky I caught it before I caught fire

probably for the same reason that Aprilia felt the need a few years ago to warn people "not to attempt to dry clothing or small animals on any hot part of the bike" in the owners manual...

btw i had no hand in this, dave was claires assistant. I told him not to fill the expasion chamber because its not connected properly, has only overflow not the ability to re enter engine, someone had changed the tubing over and sealed one end.

Jesta most bikes only have one tube from the expansion bottle to the radiator. It works as an overflow and a vaccuum tube for when the water expands and contracts.

Since when? You have one for overflow and one for allowing it back into the engine, thats two.

My TL only has the one hose from the bottom of the expansion tank to a spigot immediately under the radiator cap, other than the cap (rubber bung) used for topping up the coolant.
