So are you saying this articl is
definitely wrong, and the girl had
not been drinking.
That's a simple yes or no question.
What's the betting you can't give a simple yes or no answer.
How sure are youy that this article is wrong

fair enough, couldn't let the girl rest in peace tho could they, had to try and deflect some of the blame on her.

If she hadn't been drinking she might have reacted differently
If he hadn't been going so fast he might have missed her
If he had the blues n' two's on she might have noticed him approach sooner
If it had been daylight rather than night the story might have been different
It's all conjecture and whatever is said won't bring her back. The girl is dead. The guys career and life are ruined - anyone who thinks this won't be with him for the rest of his life is sadly mistaken. I'm sure he didn't go to work thinking "hey, lets run someone over tonight" just as I'm sure that most people who drive don't go out to kill ...... but accidents happen - thats life. People forget things. People make errors of judgement. Just because he's a policemen doesn't make hime less human, just as it doesn't put him beyond the law.
All this argueing serves no purpose. RIP young lady.

You do have to ask yourself what sort of parents would allow their 16 year old out at that time of night, under the influence of alcohol.
I know it may not be directly related, but the parents have to take some responsibility.
If they had a more caring attitude toward that child, then she wouldn't have been staggering about at all hours under the influence of booze in the first place.

Come on, give it a rest now. We live in a blame culture and all you are doing here is shifting blame to the parents. Parents cannot have 100% control over their kids at all times now.
Its a real shame that a young life was wasted. End of. Saying it was the cops fault, the girls fault, the parents fault, fate's fault. It isnt going to change now.
I feel sorry for all of those involved, it must be more than heartbreaking to have lost someone at that age.
I'm sure you had the odd underage tipple when you were a youngster, Stately.

Attention seeking window lickers at it again. Who cares if the kid was under the influence, if the pig was doing an appropriate speed as was said in court the chances are she would still be alive. This evidence was given by a police expert. Or do you want to argue & insult him?

The parents have to take some of the responsibility for a police officer killing their daughter?

Well I'm sure in his book any girl who drinks alcohol and is out after dark must be a 'brazen hussy' and so deserves everything she gets.
Personally I think the parents should be given support and understanding at such a tragic time for them, losing their sixteen year old daughter will be heartbreaking. R.I.P to her and thoughts to her family.

Erm, I think it was you who insulted him.
I wonder if you'd have the guts to call that Police expert, a pig, to his face.
I somehow how think not
It's obvious you hate the Police, so your opinion means very little in terms of objectivity

If your new and dont like it, go away.
Calling coppers pigs wont help.
Copper is in the wrong, sad but life goes on.
Stately might be annoying and boring but he has some valid points.
