Re: Battery recommendations.
Batteries are my bread and butter in my living ...lithium are great if they are 100% the fuel for the power .however unless you are a serious trackday man/woman the weight difference you would never notice with that being said for me I wouldn't pay the extra money on the battery and then extra money on a Pacific charger .just my opinion..with that in mind I have the latest battery testing machines and software so if any one wants a full discharge test to learn the true % left in the batteries let me no happy to test for free might I add lithium/lead acid or agm batteries I have machines for all .

Call me 'old fashioned' but a big lump of Yuasa has never let me down.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?
Re: Battery recommendations.
Lithium. Laptops use it, phones use it, Tesla's use it. Wtf use prehistoric tech?

Re: Battery recommendations.
Lead-acid, Yuasa every time. Not impressed with motobatt - Jamie got through a couple on his hornet. The Yuasa in the TL expired a couple of years ago, it was the original so around 20yrs old by then (!) So it got another.
The MV has a Shido Lithium. Disconnect the positive terminal and the battery holds its power, unlike lead acid. Doesn't need any special charger, just not a load sensitive one or with a de-sulphating cycle ... Just a nice, ultracheap one with a very low rate trickle charge.
Teign Batteries (Teign Van Rental) are very good for prices

I am also a Yuasa stalwart. Always been good for me. Not got anything against Lithium but i know where i am with Yuasa and so don't get any surprises because I haven't recognised symptom.

Re: Battery recommendations.
Quick update.
Battery flat as yesterday wouldn’t turn over at all lots of clicky noises etc.
Left on optimate overnight and started on the button first time this morning.
Will probably take out for a run later this week for work and see how I get on.
