What Distancing ?

Post by MellowYellow »

Had a little trek today. Glasto, Wells and back over the hills. Missed a turning (brain in neutral) and ended up going down into ****** Cheddar. Absolutely packed. Every shop, pavement and car park groaning.

Did pass a McLaren though and toddled past an incandescant green open-topped Lambo.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

And Michael Gove was extolling the virtues of "the good judgement and good sense of the great British public to treat with respect, and to voluntarily abide by, the recommendations of the government and their scientific experts". Good sense? Good judgement? Everybody doing something in the interests of everybody else -voluntarily? What bucket of sand has he had his head in recently? The "GBP" doing the right thing en masse is about as likely a scenario as me having a whole year's rideouts without needing a bump start, or Brian not falling off, a Gixxer not decorating a hedge or a certain orange marque of motorcycle not breaking down. It won't happen.

There, that's me off me high horse, and I promise not to ride it again for a while  .

Yes your horse is high but justifiably so. Been through Cheddar a few times recently and struggle to break 15mph through the gorge, absolutely packed but then again so are all the local tourist spots and back roads that I frequent. People just abandoning cars stuck out in the road and crossing on blind corners. At some point there will be some form of normality resuming. Until then Phil stay angry!!!! :ymdevil: :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

AMG meeting also there today, one reason I stayed away, they can be a bit mental and to top it off some car group up this way is currently showing a video of some young kid using the twists and turns as a race track using both side of the road in some silly little car.
Kinda make me think twice about going through there
