Broken side stand mount

Post by Tvrv37 »

Below is a photo of the broken side stand mount on the Daytona 600 track bike. It didn't have a stand when I got it so bought a second hand one off fleebay. When I went to fit it I realised the reason it didn't have one, a broken mount. I thought I'd post the problem on here before giving up as it's a total pain not having one. I would appreciate thoughts on how to fix or permanently attach the stand. The mount is cast aluminium. Thanks.

Speak to Ruffian, he may well be able to make one and weld it in place.

Can either make a plate and drill/tap that mounting.

As welding to cast isnt usually successful.

I'm just about to lower the bike for Wendy so are you able to shorten the side stand at the same time?
