Puncture repair kits - recommendations

Post by Kata »

Hi All.

Now the sniggering has died down, any recommendations?

Looking for the plug type fix rather than an aerosol of sticky goo.

Thanks Muchly

I bought this one. Just make sure what you buy has CO2 bottles included in the kit to inflate the tyre afterwards.

I have one of the string type and I used it on my mates bike in Germany. He left it in until he'd finished off the tyre.
The tyre fitter was unimpressed but when he inspected it from the inside he agreed it was a solid repair.

Only thing I'd suggest is to get a few tubes of the glue (cheap on ebay) as once you pierce the seal it will eventually dry out, though it does take a while. I tried to use mine a couple of years later and the glue tube was solid.
