Who are you with? I'd like a look at their small print, and if you've been advised correctly in accordance with their policy cover I'll be avoiding them like the plague.menzies3032 wrote: ↑Jul 16th, '21, 21:58 I looked to sorn my bike through winter as I did not want to tax it when I was not riding it and my insurance company basically said big no.

Re: sorn
If I remember it was when I was with MCE
Rang to check and was told needed valid MOT and Tax else insurance would be invalid. The whole point of sorning was that I wouldn’t pay tax for the 6 months the bike was off the road.
Now seriously wondering if this was just an insurance company trying to wiggle out of the policy I had already purchased.

More likely whoever you spoke to didn't know so just blagged it "being on the safe side".menzies3032 wrote: ↑Jul 19th, '21, 00:43 Now seriously wondering if this was just an insurance company trying to wiggle out of the policy I had already purchased.
Problem is, if you have phoned your insurance company for advice and they have told you that then what are you suppose to do.
Still.. you'll not fall for that again now.
