All the little S's are leaving my blood stream

Post by menzies3032 »

Ok a little hard for me to admit but I think its official...... I think I am going off Suzuki's  :80: :-o

When i did all of the test rides for my current road bike the Suzuki option was by far the worst of the bunch for many reasons

Over the last week I was at Oulton Park and was hiring the usual ZX636 track bike that unfortunately had issues with a fuel pump so I had a free upgrade to the 2020 Suzuki GSXR 1000...... and I have to say I didn't like it.
- Could not lock into the tank in the same way as either the Triumphs or the Kawasaki's
- The wheel base was too short and could not keep the front wheel on the ground
- the riding position was to far forward which actually gave me neck ach trying to look up and round bends
and I was 8 to 10 seconds a lap slower on a 1000cc then i normally would be on a 636

Add this to my complete and utter love of my road bike BMW F900R which is ace

Think It might be time to start looking at a new Avatar and removing all of the Suzuki branded clothing from my wardrobe........

Its the end of an era =)) :)) :)]

:)) Rob Menzies reaches the age of enlightenment... it happens, I used to bleed green, had tunnel vision about ZX-10Rs, nothing else mattered, but circumstances happen and it's nice to have a change. Now I bleed orange, and nothing else matters.... :)) :)) :))
Seriously though, I'm a bit annoyed with myself for closing my mind to other things and the one who missed out was me.

Hate to say I told you so rob but,

Well I lie because I find it amusing,
Getting mature and sensible is awesome.
Riding something sensible and comfortable is brilliant.

Imagine if you listened to me all those years ago when you rode my z750r.
But to put it into context if you hated the gixxer on track,
Imagine how hideous it would be on the roads!!
