Hi all,

Well yesterday i ruptured my Achilles’ tendon whilst playing squash. So I’m in a cast at the moment and today I’m off to hospital again for an ultrasound to see how bad it is?? And what recovery period I’m looking at?

Has anybody else gone through this?

Jay

My dad tore his playing squash 15 years back.

Operation to reattach,
3 months in plaster.
Then another 4 or 5 in a flexi boot to limit movement.

It wasnt fun for him.

Hope yours isnt as bad.

If you didnt hear a loud snap like a decent branch and hit the deck hard then it hopefully you have alot better chance than he did.

That's a bummer. Fingies crossed you get well soon. Seriously hope you do not need surgery. Non life threatening surgery just does not happen nowadays. Forget it if you need a hip replacement....

Well I need surgery and going in for the op on Tuesday.
2-6 weeks to heal then the physio starts so hopefully in 6 months I should be back to normal fingers crossed 🤞
