They had a subsidiary company underwritten by someone solvent. The price they offered me was good but after the experience I had with their other company I went with Bemoto
KTM 1190ADV - sold
KTM 790ADV - sold
KTM 790 Duke - current
Honda CB300R - can I get any smaller 🙄

No money.
Only quote that came back from a comparison site was MCE unfortunately.
Going to Bemoto direct.

Still waiting for my proof of ncb from MCE which was promised 'Within 72 hours' over a week ago. If the refund comments above are anything to go by it'll be a long wait. At least I'm not owed any money, I took a dd and very glad I did.

Not due yet but out of curiosity just got a BeMoto quote for the Busa:-
£157.21 comp for 66 year old in rural Devon or £195.66 with extra breakdown cover, that is with £1000 excess mind (500 compulsory and 500 voluntary) and bike valued at £7k. Those figures become £173.41 and £213.36 with just £600 compulsory excess.

That's just the one bike? Mine is due for renewal at the end of March :-ss Insured through Bikesure, last year for the TL & MV, fully comp. on the same policy, with notional £2k & £7k values respectively and £250 excess for the TL but £450 for the MV, I paid just under £225. That's all mods to both declared (which actually makes the TL harder to insure). :-bd

I'm currently with Bikesure. Premium last July was £305 for 3 bikes with modifications declared; Busa, B-King and Fazer. Latter 2 each adding £65 to base premium so Busa alone would have been £175 or £240 for two bikes - with an own fault claim in 2020. So I reckon Bikesure and BeMoto are in the same ballpark for cost.

Just had my proof of NCD, they have robbed me of 6 months too :( Also heard they are processing refunds of bike policies this month as they have done the cars and van policies.
So hopefully the cheque will be in the post soon :)

I finaly got my proof of NCD from MCE last week. Luckily, I'm owed no money by them as was paying by DD and I simply cancelled my payments; for once, I was in the right situation :) .
