pembrey price hike 2022

Post by billinom8s »

Just looked on the Phil Bevan site (as he seems to have cornered the Pembrey track again) and he is doing his days at a whopping £150 pp.

Groups are restricted to approximately 25 (make your mind up, it's either 25 or it's not).

It's an entertaining day there but I think it's pushing the envelope a bit to charge that much.
When they see llandow is charging the same they'll probably stick their prices up again.

Stuff that.... when you can book Cadwell for around the £120 park I mean at £150 park your nearly in Oulton Park territory and absolutely at Donington park territory. That's just daft. I can only assume their cost have gone up significantly.

For most other tracks would consider it but really never have enjoyed the Phil Bevan rule of warm up laps on EVERY session. For for the 1st session as sighting laps totally fine. But when you have had the generator bubbling away for 40 minutes keeping the tyres nice and toasty, last thing you want is to bimble around at slow speeds, you need to get out and get on it to keep all the heat in the tyres. Sure this is why they have so many early / mid session crashes due to cold tyres..... so they then increase to more warm up laps... grrrrr

rant over.

Oulton was around £190 last year, Donny £200+ Cadwell £135....i agree though £150 for Pembrey is a tad steep, i always use it for my first track day of the year to "de rust" lots and lots of laps slowly building the speed and consistency before moving on to other tracks

I must say I have noticed with No Limits this year prices have increased across the board for April which is still kind of out of season. But even so not planing on heading to Pembrey anytime soon now

Seconded. Even an expensive day is circa £100!
But so much more fun and knackering than the £300 Silverstone would be.
