Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Seeing as the Moto Corse cafe is now open we'll be stopping there around 12.00ish, not the airfield.

Me too. I'll wait in the large layby on the A303 immediately before the sharp left turn off to the A30 towards Yarcombe.
Will probably abandon ship on the homeward loop at Bishops Lydeard so as to visit one or other of the daughters in Taunton or Wellington.
What time are you leaving Tiverton?
So, if leaving Tivvy @ 10.00 hrs and as it's about 32 miles to aforesaid layby (Max's Cabin cafe EX14 9NE above), I'll be there from 10.30 hrs on.

Weather looks okay up to late afternoon. In case it worsens please check here Saturday morning in the unlikely case I pull the plug.

Phoned them and Moto Corse will not be open tomorrow so it will be the Airfield cafe around 12.00.....and if they're not open the Ugly Duckling cafe in Shaftesbury is an option.

Phil, will see you at the Max's Cabin layby, I guess 10.35...
Fozz, will see you at the airfield 12.00ish, probably more like 12.15, maybe, perhaps...

Anyone else coming out to play before the rain starts up again later in the afternoon???

Four greyones had a fun time - moi, Phil, Roy and Alan. Nice new teashop found. The Ugly Duckling in Shaftesbury where we discussed the merits and pitfalls of fitting car tyres to mo'bikes like what some do over in Americal :-?

Big thanks to Alan's and Phil's local knowledge when my satnav threw another wobbler in Dorset. I knew where the Sun was in the sky so could have got us where we were going eventually

Thanks to Brian for planning and leading a proper 'Highways and Byways' rideout today. It was nice to explore the roads in a different county for a change. As Brian said, the Ugly Duckling cafe in Shaftsbury town was a nice find too - and the weather gods smiled on us so there was nothing not to like. Roll on the next one . . . . . . . .
