You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we donβt want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.
Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Saturday October 22nd - breakfast rideout.
Saturday 22nd Oct' - it's looking like the only dry day for a while. I've put together a rideout route with breakfast stop options depending on group preference.
MEET: 0845 hrs at Smiley's Cafe, Turks Head Lane, HONITON EX14 1BQ. Please be fueled up and ready folks.
LEAVE: Smiley's at 0900 hrs prompt.
BREAKFAST STOP: TBD before leaving Smiley's.
ROUTE: That's for me to know, but around 150 miles as traffic-free as I can make it .
PACE: Riding to the prevailing conditions. Not 125-friendly.

Thanks to Alan, Andy and Roy for supplying good rideout company and laughs yesterday. An especial thanks to Roy for supplying the latter in the shape of his own, individual, magical mystery tour for an hour or so .
Weather was just damp enough in places to keep us on our toes, but nothing too bad. I missed out on Alan's Blackdown Hills soaking - I was back home in Ottery supping a hot coffee by then .

Good to get out, and in keeping with the theme of oldies I brought the elderly CB500 along.
Bit sketchy in the dodgy conditions as the tyres were of unknown quality but it coped with everything okay. May well keep it as a winter hack, as it's a lot easier to clean than the Duke with all the nooks and crannies, and I wouldn't have wanted to go any faster on the mucky roads.
Roy. What can I add..... Your sense of direction is only matched by your sense of humour.
Thanks for the company guys

I agree. Great day of biking full of events like losing petrol, fixing. Getting lost but somehow meeting up again after 90 miles of solo riding - you couldn't make it up. Thanks for the call Phil.
