Nope, if it rains, bring your own waterproofs. Mine's a car .
Atcherly, precipitation's looking minimal if at all for Saturday .
See here: https://www.netweather.tv/weather-forec ... Wellington
and here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2634575
So if it stays that way . . . . . . it's rideout time! .

The forecast, while not 'Scorchio!' is looking dry, certainly for my little ant-clockwise bimble to Tivvy; so will deffo be airing the Triumph not the Skoda. See y'all at Fire Station HQ.

Arrived home in Chard at 1830 hrs so slightly more than 60 miles, but hey ho the route was enjoyable with the occasional group of grit from recent strong rains spoiling a few sections.
Thanks Phil for leading.

Re: Post 'Biker Down' rideout Saturday 23rd September.
A decent wee rideout was had, thanks to Roy and Roman for tagging along. The Fire Station HQ at Clyst St George to Tivvy route was almost exactly 60 miles in mostly brilliant sunshine and dry roads.
The big surprise was just how busy our coffee and cake stop at Dunkeswell airfield was, it was a proper hive of activity there. Helicopter experience flights, parachute drops, non-stop light aeroplanes taking off and landing, you name it. Biggest surprise to me was two WW 2 Supermarine Spitfires lined up about 50 yards from the café. They've both been converted to two-seat operation and one of them took off while we were there on a 'Spitfire experience' flight. Hearing that 1,000 horsepower +, 27 litre V12 Rolls Royce Merlin engine at full chat on take-off was quite something, it has to be seen and heard live to be appreciated. The bike ride was worth doing just for that.
Anyway, I enjoyed my day on the bike. Hope to catch a few of you on the next one.
