Was having a sneak peak at a MV Agusta F3 800 but not cheap and very few non road bikes about.
Living in Teignmouth and riding a BMW F900R SE (in Suzuki blue colours :-bd )

One of the best times on track for me was 3 days in Spain on my little 600 chasing Jay on his 1000.

110bhp verses 160bhp you find out where the strengths and weaknesses are of late braking and corner speed.

Spent 5 years on that 1993 YZF750 with 106 bhp.
Had great fun and leaned a lot even if it was 20 years old in the end. I couldn’t go back to though. Tried it once and it was hard work.
#152 Straights are for fast bikes. Corners are for fast riders

I am slightly biased, but option from German manufacturer doesn’t sound that bad! :D :D
However, you should first decide whether to go with a 600 or a thou. Don’t forget it’s all about smiles per second. Only you can answer the question which one you would enjoy better.
Then I would say take it from there. It’s more about your preference and not what your mate likes. Choose according to budget and a better overall deal.
