Sunday 17th December - Rideout. . . . .

Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

The B3042 is likely to be a mudbath...

......but I'll have plenty of hot, soapy water to clean the bike.
The roads should be o.k. after two days + of projected dry weather, but I'll assess the state of them as we go and if looking too iffy will adjust the route accordingly.

Phil.... any particular reason for starting off south of Exeter?
Any chance of a start and finish at The Steamer Coffee House and Kitchen or thereabouts? (Cullompton Shell or Tesco petrol?)
Understand if not....just that the start point is a bit of a ball ache for me lol

it's only another 20 minutes andy. the finish point is closer to yours and further away for the rest of us.

so it's give and take.

Thought there'd be logic to it of course :) ... had to ask though just in case I might reduce the near on 70 mile / 1hr+ tedious m'way run to start point ;-)

Looks like there'll be a few of us on this rideout so to ensure no-one gets lost (ha!) we'll be using the 'drop-off' system for junction marking. To anyone not familiar with it - briefly it's this:

At a road junction or roundabout exit the ride leader (me on Sunday) will indicate where he wants the rider immediately following him to stop so that everyone else knows where to turn. The rider MUST then stay there until all the riders have passed and until the TEC (Tail-End-Charlie) appears, then join back in with the group.
The TEC stays at the back of the line for the duration of the rideout.

I'll run through this again before setting off.

So; any volunteers for TEC folks?

Should anyone get lost, and that shouldn't happen, we're stopping for a caffeine and wad infusion at 'Jonesy's Cafe, The Old Airfield, WINKLEIGH' EX19 8EZ and should be there for around 11.15 hrs.

See you tomorrow.
