Not sure about the writer / book maker reference but the Superduke looks amazing.

Thanks 😁 .....not so much right now, sat in garage in desperate need of a wash after SWB Rideout a few days back.
Not posting photo as I'm ashamed 😆

Any ideas on the SWB members map?.... something that didn't get done?

A member's location map; it says 'Optional members Map' as a sub title, and a good idea methinks. Any Admin's up for getting this sorted?

We did a members map many (15) years ago, it was in the members section.
It was in there so as to protect the details of owners bike locations from less than wanted eyes. The theory being that if bike/bikes started to go missing from homes then it would only be limited on here as a source to subscribed members (£10 a year still, don't ya know).

It didn't last long though as people didn't like to post up their home locations.

So no member map, although nothing stopping you put your location or even W3w location in your sig.

Just a little flag in a map would be enough. You know, just like us 'Grey Ones' did in the war :)): .

If it could done, would require a plugin, it would be in subs area as a matter of security.

I think Data Protection is a risk with a map/address data plus you might need to send a Privacy Notice to members before location data etc could be stored, any breaches can be quite serious so I think Billinom8s is right best to keep personal info to the bare minimum so members cannot be identified or located from it.

I say the above in a Data Protection law context.

Fair enough. We've got a location tag we can all use in our profile box so that's a decent alternative I guess.

Simon / Bilko..... would have to be voluntary and NOT have any address info just the nearest town / general area.
