Ok you raving bikers…
Provisional ideas have been mentioned and am now planning a trip…
July 18th to July 24th.
Plan is to ride up to Folkestone, cross on the tunnel to Calais.
One night stop, some fun twisties etc. see how it goes.
Ultimately end up in the Mosel valley and explore the area,
Now… you al know I love Nurburg but that is just one thing in the area where there’s loads of riding to be done and places to explore.
3 nights or 4, TBC
And pootle on back on 23rd/24th…
Who interested?

I’m guesstimating about £1K. Give or take. Depends what folks do and don’t eat n drink etc. might not be 5 star with butlers but planning on enjoying it

Would really love to do this Nick but with a plan to do 5 track days this year all in the week, then a trip to Portimao so another 3 days off work I just don't have enough holiday to have another 5 days off work for bike related fun. We have big plans this year for family holidays and will need to work days to be able to do it.
Hope you have a great time sounds an amazing trip.

Right, we have confirmation of times, dates and half a shedule....
Day 1 Thursday 18th July
Leave Exeter area at 7.
Ride up the A303, M27, m25, M20 etc to Dover about mid day ish. Ferry at 1345hrs. Standard cheapest ticket gives you a 4 hr window, so if we make the earlier one, all the better.
Ride to a place called Chimay, aprox another 150miles +-.
Day 2 Friday 19th July
Decent start, not silly early, brekkers etc.
Ride some fun roads, twisties etc to Nurburg area. aprox 330miles. long ride but gets us there in time for beer and food and have a look around.
Day 3 Sat 20th.
Group, individuals, can do what we like. Explore, visit the ring, find the viewing points, dream in the car park, even do a lap or 2. Take it in.
Day 4 Sun 21st July
More of the same, explore, some fab routes to explore and do some touristing, get an ice cream, what ever.
Day 5 Mon 22nd July
leisurely set off, start riding back towards Calais on some different twisties, see how folks feel. Stop some where over night.
Day 6 Tues 23rd July
Leisurely lazy morning, set off for some more fun giggles, getting lost and exploring. Stopping shy of Calais.
Day 7 Wed 24th July.
Get up, head to Calais, ferry 1200hrs, again a 4 hr window so can get earlier one if we wanted to and pootle home in time for tea...
I'm booked. poferries.com times as above cost £104.
Diggs etc tbc.

Not sure where you get the "approx 330 miles" on day 2 from Nick. Following your route, I make it approx' 160 miles from Chimay to the Nurburg area. It is however, depending on route taken, around the 330 miles mark from Calais to the Nürburgring. I've done it myself. Unfortunately not able to this year though.
