Starting my bike last week after washing it, the kick start lever bit back.

L-)

Each day brings a new shade of purple or yellow to the event, at least it makes Kim laugh.

This is it's course over the last week, it's ongoing joy for sure. :-bd

Oh dear.. been there but wasn't bit as badly.
You only do it once and then you remember to wear your MX boots every time.

Quite some years ago now someone had the great idea of placing a button on the right hand switchgear linked to a little electric motor acting on the crankshaft .......

Same people kept the kickstart on things like dirt bikes to give the user a backup option for then the battery decided it had had a hard day. This then refused or even removed the owners requirement to obtain a larger form of transport for recovery or even worse, to push the bike home.
