Had a look at track days to try and get a feel for things over the summer months. Couple of favourites have now gone silly price wise. Oulton Park is £209 and Brands GP is now £239. These are just silly inn my opinion.
With this in in mind, reckon there'll be a couple of trips to Cadwell this year and a return play to Bedford Autodromw.
First Cadwell visit is booked, double header 29th , 30th April.

Got to say love love love Oulton park so once I have the new Track bike still might venture there once but like you with Cadwell remaining a very sensible price got to be worth a few trips. Not checked out Donington yet but think that’s still below the £200 mark so worth a visit and again when I have the track bike rather then hiring the will be very interested to get back to Bedford. Very flat but very flowing. Love it.

Unfortunately it's the way everything is going.
I agree that trackdays are fun, but would struggle to spend that sort of money on a day.
Euros still seem sensible though at the moment.
But when a forest day is £45 and greenlanes are free,
That's where I'm going to be.
And playing with the electric bike.

Or one can go off-road racing - proper racing, where any talent you may have is recognised and, once you have the proper bike and kit, at vastly less cost than trackdays. There's lots of motorcycle off-road racing categories out there.
One thing I
will guarantee - when you first start off-road racing, any motorcycle control you think you have will be tested to the limit! But once you start getting better at it it will improve you're roadgoing bike skills big-time. And it'll keep you fit too
