Recommendations please - New Boots

Hi All
I want to get myself some new track day boots but actually want to go and try some on and make sure I have a good fit. I have had Alpine Star’s in the past and as good as the boot has been the fit has not been the most comfortable and often end up with skin missing from my shins.
1) any recommendations for high protection comfortable boots still being made and able to buy brand new?
2) anywhere local (Teignmouth / Torquay / Exeter etc) you would recommend where I would be able to go to try gear on?
Thanks

My axo Aragon boots are great. Very comfy, light and lots of protection.
I got them from Avery's Motorcycles. Dave used to be a member on here.
J&S in plymouth have a good range of boot stock to try on.

The usual places bridge and J&S, there’s Cms motorcycles in Exeter, Fowlers and sportsbikeshop in Bristol and I’ve heard of a shop called last years gear in Bridgwater

Imho can't go wrong with alpinestars supertech R's, Daytona's come highly recommended but very expensive

If they're not too cheap and not what might be considered a "premium" brand you could try:-

Thanks all sounds like it’s time for a tour of the bike shops and get trying on to see what I like.

it will also depend on your budget,
When was riding track i rode with alpinestars supertech r (i think they were)
but they had the full inner boot and felt like slippers.
i did manage to find them for a deal on motocard at the time for last years model,
but they ran out of stock so just sent the new ones instead!

You deffo get what you pay for. I've blown the bank of Monte Carlo this year on 2 pairs of Dianese boots and should have done it years ago. My track boots Torque 3 Air have boot inners and as Ruffian said are just like slippers. I chose those specifically for the room in the calf over leathers. Amazing boots.
The issue is local shops have no range and certainly shy away from more expensive ranges. Depending on your budget abuse Sports Bike Shop as they have a free returns policy on stuff you don't want.
You really need your gimp suit on to properly try them on.
