Evening all,
Just wondered if anyone has had any good quotes for insurance, as March is usually the time of year for most bikers what with the new models now available.
I currently have a gixer 6 k1 and the best quote i am getting fully comp is at £480 with carol Nash.
Anyone had any better, if so who with?
Cheers,
Dan.

I pay £221 fully comp with insurance-line, £250 excess.
37 year old, 2 years no claims, bike garaged, full licence for 20 years
That's why the SV was voted top insurance friendly bike by Men & Motors

You lucky git
I got a quote for £1300 for my gixxer, which I took...
Then the insurance company told me that it'll have to increase to £1800 because the idiot at the insurance brokers got my quote wrong...
I'm currently fighting with the I.S.C to get my £500 back.....
I'm still a baby at 24 you see

Thats seems a bit high, I am currently paying £160 ish for a zx6r with Bennetts. But that is 32 year old with 12 years NCB, bike garaged.
As for Dave's quote that is crazy, you can buy a decent second hand bike for that!

A bit high?
I phoned all the usual suspects and did some internet quotes but the only ones that came close to £200 wanted £500 excess

or not able to ride other bikes on 3rd party cover, which i need to have.
I'm happy with what i paid.

You could buy my SV or MX6 for that

When you think of it
The car is worth £6000, with £2000 of mods done (Which are insured)
I paid £5549 for the bike just under 6 months ago..
So i'm insuring £13,549's worth... I'd expect it to be high....
Though I pay alot on insurance, i'm safe in the knowledge that if someone stole/torched either my car or bike... Then I can get all my money back to replace for a new one

There is a young lad across the street from me who has a green and black Seat Cupra thingy with lots of mods, who is paying £4600. Yes I did get the correct number of zero's. More bloody money than sense!
