imagine this, you leave your bike out front ready to go and use it again. Literaly you look out the window and your nice shiny bike is stood with pride by the pavement. Pick up your jacket and gloves go downstairs open the front door and............F O O K..........why isnt it there any more? is this a joke , i was sure i looked at it 30 seconds ago! A Van drives down the road you stop it cause u think hes had ure ride! Seen anyone with a bike mate? guy sais yeah , some bald dude just walked of with a sports bike but he didnt have a helmet, S hi t. The guys tells me to get in his van. I climb in sitting on a childs booster chair.. my heads like nearly pokin thro the roof. We drove down the road and turned into a different street what did we see!!! A frigin blu Pro Point van with the back doors wide open and some scummy thief stroking the tank of my prized possesion. We didnt get out of the van instead we carried on down the road turned round and took up a suvelance spot( car chase styley) got the reg numba of the van, called the cops ! The van was leaving we folled it slowly he went through town past the police sation and carried on to leave exeter,,,, just then the blues came flashing down the road the van drivers obviously sh it themselfes turned left and dumped the van jumped out the car and legged it! We stopped behind and jumped out of the guys van which i was in,,,,,started chasing but these boys knew the area to well. I went back to the van took a peek inside and saw my baby in the corner of the van all crumpled and scratched. Wheeled the bike back out checked her for damage, locking barrel and ignition are bugger ed few scratches to the fairing but apart from that nothing much. I'm still stunned now!!! got it back tho u stupid thieves! if ure reading this and you know somthing bout it tell me. Dont worry scum i will find you

that's awful ... the only good thing is that you got the bike back straight away - good job that guy saw it ... hope the insurance company are quick at authorising repairs

 Glad you got your bike back, top marks to the van driver for helping you and (for a change  ) the police reacting with speed, don't know how you had the restraint to watch them put it in the van, hope the repairs aren't too much and your back on the road soon....

Good to see they didn't get away with it.

I know the feeling of seeing a space where your bike was. It happened to me many years ago, you start to doubt your sanity and think did I park it somewhere else?

So you think these scumbags are local ??

Just heard about your bike. Cant leave anything anywhere. You were lucky the way it turned out. Can the cops trace anything from the van or was that nicked aswell.. hope you get it all sorted out soon.

Not good m8...

I had my bike nicked a few yrs back, and I all felt was confusion, I thought it was a joke, someone winding me up (Why the fcuk would anyone want to nick a slow GN125???)... then as it sets in the disbelief follows and its depressing... Lucky for me like you I got it back, front end smashed to fook where they did the steering lock but couldn't start it...

BIGGEST problem for you now, is they KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE, so I bet there is a bleady good chance they will have a pop at you again, even if it's locked away in a garage...

Suggest you beef up locks on the garage, I don't know what area you live in or what your location/neighbours are like, but natural surveilance is your biggest wepon, hopefully your neighbours can see your garage and/or front of your house, talk to them, let them know whats happened and to keep an eye out for anything dodgy to then call the police...

Also get an alarm on your bike for crying out loud, Steering lock does nothing, I would get a beefy chain straight away and beef up any locks on the garage as a prority! (Garage alarms are fantastic too and cheep!!!)

Blades, R1's and CBR600's are the most nicked bikes in this country, as breaking them up for parts are easy to shift thanks to so many other peeps owning them, and buying the parts, some without knowing, but even worse, many know they are buying nicked stuff but don't care!!!!!!! (So much for loyality amoung bikers)

If there is no demand will be no need to supply, these bikes are never sold on whole unless they found a complete muppet to buy it!

Anyway hope you can get it all fixed up soon, don't think that honda HISS testicles is a deterent either, if they was gonna do a professional job and sell the bike on whole, can get a replacement RACE ECU without the HISS s.hit in it for less than ?G500!!!

Well done for your quick actions in getting it back, prolly cheeper for you to get the bits yourself rather than using the insurance, and I wouldn't inform the insurance as it could affect your no claims (weird I know but true)

Glad you got it back, fair play to the van driver.

Although its been damaged at least you know they haven't actually riden it anywhere.

I'd be gutted if my bike got damaged, but if i knew someone else had been on it i dont think i could keep it, i'd have to sell it.
