Make your own Custom Helmet for a fiver!!

Post by Dave »

At the Paignton bike Festival I was amazed to see how many people had the same helmet as I had

So I thought I'd have a go at making my own custom helmet.

So I started with this:

Image
Image

Picked myself up some with Pin Stripes, a yellow pencil & a tape measure. :o

Image

Marked the lines using the tape measure & yellow pencil & added the pin stripes tp the side. 8)

Image

And the front. :)

Image

Add a custom logo & a url of your favourite website. :D

Image

Get a new visor for added effect.

Image

And now you have your very own 'one of a kind' custom helmet.

Image

And if your very lucky, it might even match your bike.

Dave don't want to pee on your good work but have you checked that the glue on the decals does not effect the helmet? I know some glues and paints are not compatable with helmets.
Sorry if I have cast a doubt in your mind

I thought all fibreglass based lids were ok with stickers, but not the cheaper plastic based lids. :?

But I could be wrong.

Just call me DIY Dave

I don't like that Predator thing, & for £200+

Mine was a £130 lid (I got it for £60)

That I made my own with £5 worth 8)

The stripes can peel off easy enough & replace if I need to :P
