Hi all. I want to replace my tools. My tool box is sadly lacking !! Does anyone know of any good online suppliers. Not snap-on though, bit too expensive. Thanks.

Ive bought some decent tools off Ebay. Various torque wrenches, a decent tool box and other bits and pieces. I have to say that I saved a fortune buying this way, but just be careful to check normal retail prices first so you know your getting a decent deal. A lot of the tool sellers on there have online shops too.

have a look for the screwfix website, they are quite good

Screwfix are cheap, we even bought some at work, but quality isn't brilliant. Probably ok for light use but not heavy use.

Halfords Professional range gets good reviews, I've got a small socket socket set and it is excellent.

Didn't mean the 'own' brand stuff, just cheap suppliers of other makes too...........

Just don't buy Draper and/or anything with "Made in China" on it...all cheep $hit LOL

Snap on are a bit pricy...Found Halfords professional range very good...

Best place though...is find your Local Cromwells...if you pay them in cash...they give you a discount...and the more you buy in one go...the more they give you off...really good solid stuff they sell too

Most of my tools are Sealey Professional range, but they were purchased ages ago when i had a well paid job (as a mechanic) no house. no mrs - so lots of expendable income!
Halfords Professional range are very good, I have quite a few including the ratchet spanners. Plus when (not if) you break them theyre happy to replace there and then, like for like

i'm with clunk and fuzzy, halfords pro range is outstanding for the ££, take loads of abuse and if anything breaks they replace it. had mine for about 7 years and all ive managed to break is the small ratchet

I decided to go with a draper set, nice 1/2" snap on sets, I quite liked them the're strong and you can pretty much get whatever you need to snap onto something ...

Ride pegged them as best buy ahead of the halfords range as the're better value for money.
