Oh come on Kev!!!!

Fireblade motor, nice chassis... Its a quality fun package!!!!
Great bike but not popular for some reason. I had one for a day from GT whilst they serviced my SV. I was only interested in faired bikes at the time and didn't appreciate it.

Maybe m8,but the gixxer 1100 has usd forks and ally frame where as my cbr is confentional forks and steely frame  so for me it would be more modern also i don't really want to spend more than ?2000

But your CBR doesn't have the tendency to run really wide, its a big old bus which also has an oil cooled old engine and wasn't really updated from 93.

Once you have some ideas. Test rides are the way to make your choice.

The VFR800 had fantastice drive out of corners, I think that was because it's a V4. Maybe its a good compromise between the power of inline and the feel of the a V.

93-on were watercooled, not oil cooled. the waterboilers were big heavy beasties though, and not the easiest things to hustle about. But if tourings gonna be your thing, rather than scratching; i wouldnt discount them. an rf9 would also be a good idea - its a gsxr11 based engine; just depends what you think of the styling as its a bit of an acquired taste.

I meant your CBR is fine, the GSXR11 will have those tendencies. 8)
