Indicator wiring

Post by GrimmRiffer »

Hey there assmebled autmotive electronics experts:

Putting a full set of lights on my KLX, and I need to know how indicators work. I've got four of them, an indicator switch, and a two pin relay and a load of wire. The effect I'm after is that pushing the switch to the left makes the two indicators on the left flash while leaving all the other lamps unaffected and the engine still running and the bike not very on fire, and pushing the switch right makes the two right indicators flash etc etc...

Anyone have a diagram handy or a link? I am still looking, but just keep finding entire loom diagrams for 1922 Thruppet and Muttle Spadgers (which run the lamps on lime and candles) or modern cars with so many wires it's unreal cos of all the ABS and immobilisers and stuff.

TIA.

These wiring diagrams should be fine to sort indicators on a KLX, if you could get it up here I would have a look for you.

The wiring for the indicators will be very similar, you might be able to work it out. Good luck.
