Ooohhh Bugger (FAO SPEEDY BY JAY)
Decided to strip some wall paper in my daughters room, and a large area of plaster (2 square feet) came straight off the wall. I have the wall paper to put back up, but is anybody a plasterer or know one that is a. good and b. Cheap?

mate skimming isnt to hard, get yourself a bag of multi finsh, mix it up to the consistancy of cheese sauce, a bit thicker, get your self a nice skimming trowel, and just wack a few coats up. when it drys, wet it a bit with a bruchs and work out all the streaks and little imperfections.
zippy, Jon's cousin is a plasterer. and he loves private jobs. give him a pm.

I know a couple of excellent plasterers, I'll give them a ring in a bit and see if they can do it soonish.trickdup wrote:Decided to strip some wall paper in my daughters room, and a large area of plaster (2 square feet) came straight off the wall. you forgot to mention the half day or so after it dries that you spend sanding out the lumps with an orbital sander ;) or is that just mebaskie wrote:mate skimming isnt to hard, get yourself a bag of multi finsh, mix it up to the consistancy of cheese sauce, a bit thicker, get your self a nice skimming trowel, and just wack a few coats up. when it drys, wet it a bit with a bruchs and work out all the streaks and little imperfections.
