Just thought I would update you guys on where they are with having Dyno up and working.

They have just got a second dyno which will be up and running in the next week. This dyno will be their static one they are in the middle of having the other one fitted into their Truck.

A basic dyno run will cost you £45 but mention SWB and Age 996 and they should be able to do a discount. 8)

but not as good as you cant alter and connect it to your own laptop - as far as i know anyway... :?

thats very true, but what do you need to adjust when the yosh box adjusts the ecu to funtion at its best??? and it proves that in the dyno graph. but i see youre point if you want to alter the curve, but you would have to know exaclty how you want your power. im just thinking from a road riders point of view.

I have a PCII on my bike at the moment, which was mapped on another bike with similar spec. to mine. I was going to get it mapped properly, but am currently considering ditching it and going to JHS in Bristol to get it re-mapped using the Factory-Pro Teka SFI system, which is basically a refined Yosh-Box set up ...... the drawback with the PCII (dunno about the PCIII's) is that it has a circuit for altering the ignition timing which can be somewhat unreliable :?
For most road riders there is no need to have the computer connectivity - how often do you feel the need to fiddle :D

Oh, and they have quoted £120 for a re-map with that as opposed to £180 for the PCII

The draw back is that you have no "back-up" of the re-map, which you do get with the PCII, and it is still not quite as accurate a system - it splits the rev range into 5 or 6 bands, whereas the PCII is every 250 or 500 rpm (the Yosh Box has only 3 bands) :D

Bit off topic guys but im getting a scorpion can for my bike, and in ride magazine they were rated as the number 1 for your bike. Will i have to do anything to the bike like after fitting it....remapping whatever?

I have a scorpion can and just chucked it on, not adjusted anything. As shown in the Ride article it gave the nearest to perfect fuelling for the bike they used.

Beware of the bolt holding on the baffle, they are easily lost and you are forced to ride around without the baffle.

oh what a shame that would be lol, good to hear that they are decent though. Cheers clunk man!

Why would the ecu lose the map, its an EPROM after all. I got my GSXR 600K4 set up to match the pipe and filter and gained 6bhp at the top, could have got more - but didn't like the mid-range as much. Cost me £130 all in at GTs. 10 dyno ruins and three hours work I'm happy, not often you'll hear me singing GTs praises but.....................
