Nurburgring July 11th to 15th

Post by andrew »

Hi All

Been awhile since I've been on the site (bet you all thought / hoped I was gone for good  )

Anyway I'm now back frm Oz (well actually posting this whilst in Bangkok - bloody work!!) and looking to put some miles on my bike.

As the title suggests I have booked myself up for a Nurburgring trip from the 11th to 15th July. The plan is as follows:

Friday 11th - ride from Plymouth to Dollendorf (near to the ring).
Saturday 12th July - Ring open 08:00 - 19:30
Sunday 13th July - Ring open 08:00 - 19:30
Monday 14th July - Ring open 08:00 - 19:30
Tuesday 15th July - ride from Dollendorf to Plymouth.

(i'm sure we'll fit some beer drinking in there somewhere :D )

I have booked the following ferry crossings:

11/07/08 Dover to Calais 13:00 - 15:30
15/07/08 Calais to Dover 12:35 - 13:05

I am planning to stay at sliders guest house - the guy and his wife who run this place both own R1s an are extremely quick riders by all accounts - check out the 7m32s  lap on the site http://www.slidersguesthouse.com

If anyone is interested in coming along then just let me know (they still have accomodation available this weekend), this will be my 4th trip so I can probably answer any questions you might have.
so it turns out.........sometime i do give a f*ck

Had intended to go over before Summer kicks in, but at Goodwood that weekend. 8)

Say hi to Bren for me (with hugs and kisses).

And ask him if he’s got any more R1 bits for a ZX9R.

Layne - goodwood over the ring thats a poor excuse mate. Will say hi to Bren for you but might hold back on the huigs and kisses as I haven't met him before just know him from http://www.northloop.co.uk - looking forward to receiving some tips from him though - probably along the lines of "stop riding like a p*ssy"

Age - will tell my old man but doubt he even realised his memory isn't what it use to be mate! He was probably in SP looking for a new toy think hes after a 3rd bike.

Funky - Oz was good but back now , actually got back middle of march but things have been hectic. I have Sprocket interested in going too but like you he can't definately commmit. I just don't know what wrong with the youth of today
so it turns out.........sometime i do give a f*ck
