Re: Criteria For Trackdays
you have to have a full road or ACU license, but...noone has ever checked my license and its a restricted jobby. suppose who you book with. Also need (to go on track with the company i use) a full 2pc or 1pc suit, stickered helmet, propper gloves and boots etc etc, that DOES all get checked first time u go out
im not sure about age limit, as i suppose im 21 so for al lthey know could have a full license
best idea is to ring some companies or check out their websites
http://www.trackdayriders.co.uk/ might be usefull site, i do my trackdays with no-limits http://www.nolimitstrackdays.com which ive had faultless experience with so far, fast and efficient sign on/briefing, good stands (tyres/parts/photography) and a suspension guy on hand all day to help you setup your suspension for 40 pounds
also have instructors out in every group keeping an eye on stuff, giving people line tips and who are also available for 1 to 1 tuition throughout the day for free
good prices too (oulton park, nov 1st, 100 quid)

Re: Criteria For Trackdays
full leathers are a must as is a road worthy bike, you may laugh but there where 1 or 2 at llandow that werent in good shape for the road let alone a circuit lol
licence depending on the circuits and the organizer, motorsport vision that own brands/cadwell/oulton are very strict on no 33bhp licencse holders on track where as donington dont mind as long as you have a full licence and again age limits vary,i think donny is 14 as long as you have a acu race licencse and its 16 at most others
just do your research before booking and be honest with them to save your time and theirs
and yes your right theyre bloody good fun

trackdays are the most entertaining days out ever.....only good thing for 2 wheels on the road is wheeyling past single mothers....
you'll learn more on 1 trackday than a wholes summer riding on the road.

its common knowledge that those retarded "baby on board" stickers really mean "please do a fly by munter past this vehicle"ILOVECOPS wrote:.....only good thing for 2 wheels on the road is wheeyling past single mothers....
