I binned the standard ones off my hornet6 for Oberon Performance pegs.
http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk

Just as wide as the stock pegs, just thinner & minus the hero-blobs. If you're worried about planting your foot on them in a hurry - I've had no hassle commuting about with these.

The front went on fine, the only bits missing in their packs are the split-pins.
The standard rear hangers on the hornet are shheeeeiiite! So the rear pegs take a little more messing around.

sorry for being ignorant but what is a 600r? is that a cbr? what year?

If you want them for reasons of ground clearance and feel then aftermarket rearsets are the answer - loads available for most sportsbikes - trawl Ebay for a used set if your on a budget, there are usually lots of them for sale as people often pull them off and sell them seperately when they sell their bikes on.

New they can be expensive. so if your on a budget trawl ebay for a used bargain.

Stock footpegs are the first things to go on my bikes, Im currently running Gilles VCR's set right back and up - they are things of great beauty and have an ingenious adjustment system...but cheap they are definately not.

sorry zx6r j1, as pictured :) rearsets are way out of my budget atm i was just looking to replace the actual footpegs from my 1980's rubber topped ones to more modern all metal ones

id probably just try to grab some from a newer model as they probably fit the same, but as most pegs gets broke in crash damage, they are rare to find, so was up for peoples opnions if anyone else changed their foot pegs with an aftermarket option from a company

also becuase rearsets are out of my league, has anyone had any experience with "jack up plates" as my pegs are in a sort of arm chair position i AM after a more sporting crouched position but donw have moneys for rearsets

i thought that if the pegs were "jacked up" things like the gear linkage lever and all other manner of connecting stuff would be out of whack, either too short or too long?
