So Blimey may yet get to see if Rossi is a real God:

BSN - Yamaha Racing

Multiple MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi is lining up a ride alongside Ben Spies at the Qatar World Superbike round in March, say sources inside the Yamaha Italia factory.

There has been much speculation in recent months regarding Rossi's comments about WSB being far more exciting than MotoGP and the fact he wanted to race Troy Bayliss in a one-off event at Misano.

The news that Rossi could partner former three-times AMA Champion Spies on the 2009 long-bang R1 is sure to swell advance ticket sales at the desert track, which usually hosts 13 spectators for both WSB and MotoGP.

How the Italian factory would work a two or three-man team for the event is subject to speculation because ex-BSN man Tom Sykes will be very reluctant to give up his ride to allow Rossi in.

doesnt mean bayliss will be there as hes stopped training

skyes shouldnt be a problem as he broke his foot last month so may not be fit enough anyway

in all honesty do you really beleive it will ever happen,if it was the las race of wsbk season then maybe but as its before the motogp season starts i cant see him racing

Bayliss vs Rossi, sounds good. I can't help remembering the lesson that Bayliss gave the Moto boys when he was on the ducati for the last race a couple years ago. Granted it was the last race though.

I want to see Rossi to the TT, that would then mark him as the best. I think Rossi will beat Ago's record then retire.

I too would be surprised being the start of the season, like Deej says maybe the last one. But stranger things have happened and the way Toseland describe how much more difficult a MotoGP is to ride compared to a WSB one it should be a walk in the park for him

It would be a sight to see Rossi have a go at a street circuit. Not everyones cup of tea, you either got or you havn't

years go i reckon that rossi would have attempted macau just like schwantz did,i doubt he'l do the I.O.M but would be one hell of a draw if he did :P :P

ho do you think he would adapt to a r1,bayliss didnt exactly set the world on fire when he had access to the best bike in the world at the time on the honda rcv and as much as i love him the motogp he won wasnt a real race once rossi was out,it was a procession that he had no competition on and just rde the wheels off the desmo
