Binned the Tractor exhaust

Finally got rid of the crap OEM exhaust on my Tiger 1050. Fitted something a bit louder and slimmer. Time to take the baffle out and see if the pussycat can growl like the Tiger its supposed to be.

I think just the saving in weight alone should improve the performance

I know I'm probably in a minority, but I prefer the original can.

Yes it maybe big, but the quality certainly looks better and it's dimensions are in keeping withthe bikes macho looks.

That one you've fitted looks a bit nasty, and ike something you knocked up in your shed.

Visually, I think it spoils the bike.

Sorry, but you hdid ask

I also have a tiger 1050 & i have to agree i do prefer the original exhaust, although it is abit on the quiet side.
Yeah i know you can get the TOR exhaust which looks the same but is louder & gives you abit more power, but do i really want to fork out £240 just to make it noisier? :?

As for the original looking ugly,i don't think it looks any uglier than some of the pipes you see stuck on the outside of some sportsbikes. The Triumph exhaust fits in close to the bike & looks part of the bike. 8)

If i did get an after market exhaust though, from what i've seen so far,the SC pipes do look the best.I quite like the look of the oval pipe on their web site. http://www.sc-project.com/triumph_tiger_1050_e.htm

Yes I realise it is a matter of personal taste but I do think the quality is a little better than something knocked up in the shed  (certainly with my skills anyway)

maybe its the picture.

Tigers are supposed to roar in my opinion.
